This review is from: The Man Who Owns Little (Kindle Single) (Kindle Edition)
Having read the author's other Kindle Single The First Light of Evening (Kindle Single) I came to this with a higher than average expectation. Overall, I don't think was quite as good as the other book, but it was still a very enjoyable and well constructed story, made up of a series of letters between two (once) best friends who have stopped keeping in touch. I did a nice job of making me, as the reader, consider how I treat (and have treated) friendships I have or had, and what perhaps I can and could have done differently. There's no real narrative here as such, but the letters do cover an extended period in the lives of the characters, and the juxtaposition from the earlier letters (early 1990's) to the present is well handled and thought provoking. Well worth the small amount paid.
