I enjoyed this book because it captured the flavour of travelling independantly and on the cheap as is mostly done only by young people. It had an element of "winging it", without having too much forward planning, and at each point they went with the flow, which seems to me the best way to experience new places. It is inspiring to see that age and sex need not hold you back. It also covered areas of the world not often written about - I particularly enjoyed the African portion of their travels.

What an exciting book ! As a fellow female motorbike rider and travel enthusiast, I found this book especially motivating and fun to read. It is superbly written, providing a well rounded combintion of historical fact and descriptive wording emphasising genuine experiences of the places they travel and the people they meet on this mighty adventure ! Written with an obvious joy for being on the road it encompases all that you could ask for in a travel memoir; adventure and risk taking, not to mention their fair share of trials and tribulations along the way ! The writer does well to keep you on your toes (especially on those dirt roads!) and it certainly wets the appetite for motorbike travel, or any kind for that matter !
