This is a wonderful new album from Clare Teal and her MD/pianist, Grant Windsor. Beautiful tone and atmosphere from both artists (great cover artwork too!) and one to play over and over. Different from her earlier and much loved albums - a new departure but one familiar to those who go to their gigs. Sit back and let it wash over you and enjoy the bliss.

The latest Album by Clare Teal - 'And So It Goes' is yet another stunning product from the next Big Thing in UK Jazz! She has absolutely perfect intonation and the combination of her voice and the brilliant piano playing of Grant Windsor is a truly wonderful listening experience.
Clare is a consummate professional with a huge sense of humour and a soft heart. It comes across in this album of classic American songs. She just owns the tracks and does total justice to the writers and composers of the songs she sings.

Generally speaking, two kinds of singers record with only a piano: those who can’t afford a larger group, or those who are confident in their ability. It’s fair to say that Clare Teal falls into the second category.

Recorded in February over two days in a London studio, “Armed with a bag of sheet music,” Ms. Teal and her Musical Director, Grant Windsor, brought the project from recording to finished album in just two months.

There's nowhere to hide in this kind of setting, and while it won’t be my favorite Clare Teal album (sorry), it will be *among* the favorites. It’s clear that Ms. Teal is among friends here – she sounds more relaxed, having more fun with the lyrics. By it’s nature, the result is less processed, and that’s all to the good.

There are nine Clare Teal albums in my collection, and I’ve got my own “Best of” playlist in heavy play on the ‘pod. From this collection, “Skylark” and “Someone To Watch Over Me” will be added to that list. It’s not the album I’d start with, but it’s a worthy addition to any fan’s anthology of Ms. Teal’s repitoire.

This disc is highly recommended.

On this album Clare Teal and Grant Windsor strip things back to the very basics. Grant plays piano and Clare sings and for 12 tracks that is all you get and that is all you need. The simplicity and the purity of the resulting album is almost overwhelming.

Wonderful selection of songs. This album is a duet with Clare Teal's beautiful voice (as ever she manages to convey so much emotion) and Grant Windsor's piano (not just musical accompaniment). Brilliant album, must have for Clare Teal fans.

This album is slower, gentler and more atmospheric than Clare Teal's previous CDs. The simplicity of piano and voice provides a superb showcase for Clare Teal's beautiful voice. For me, this is Clare Teals very best album so far. I strongly recommend And So It Goes to anyone who likes any of Clare Teal's previous work or is a fan of female jazz vocals.

Clare Teal has a beautiful sexy voice, which you can really appreciate, as the only accompaniment is the excellent piano playing of Grant Windsor. The arrangements of the songs are superb.

Many of the songs are standards and Clare's handling of them really do them justice, eg., "Stardust", absolutely beautiful. George and Ira's, "Someone To Watch Over Me", really is a wonderful rendition of another beautiful song. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole album.

Really nice......understated, and just perfect. Difficult to understand how just a piano and voice can blend so well together and sound just right.

For me the term "Cool Jazz " is over used sometimes. However, in this case the term was made to describe this pure music delight.
Ms. Teal once more proves that this country has produced no better Jazz singer, and together with Grant Windsor on piano, they are unbeatable..
