5.0 out of 5 stars A classic!
What's not to like about this superb album? Quality songwriting and musicianship on every track. There is a real passion here, catch them live and you'll see/hear what I mean.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable musicianship, poor lyrics
Left Fire was a truly British-post-hardcore album with a fine pop sensibility. This album has the same ideas of diversity and massive riffage yet fails to light the fires of the 2012 album.

Amazing live, and technically brilliant but lacking the immediate 'songs' of Left Fire, this album seems forced, with cliche and trite lyrics seeming an afterthought...

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect mix between Blindside, Biffy Clyro and Blakfish, 6 May 2013

The next big thing in British rock music is here! Arcane Roots gave us the excellent album Left Fire in 2012 and here is their follow up Blood & Chemistry! I absolutly love it. Every song is a killer. They have taken a lot of influence from Biffy Clyro and added their flare with a touch of Blakfish and Blindside. If you like British rock (and/or Biffy Clyro) you're gonna love Arcane Roots!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant, multi layed, modern rock record...it has it all!!!, 12 Jun 2013

Arcane Roots are a brilliant band...not a good band...a brilliant band. This follow up, their debut 'proper' album, to 2011's (or 2010's, depending on where you bought it) mini album 'Left Fire' exceeds ALL expectations.

It has everything...i mean i could literally list track by track and shout out its genius moments, its mile high melodies, crackling rhythm section, invention in song structure, its heart and soul....but i wont

Just...if you like rock music in ANY shape or form...trust me...this is worth your time, and money.

Buy it

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 20 Oct 2013
This review is from: Blood & Chemistry (Audio CD)
This album is pretty ambitious but that is part of what makes it so wonderful. This album comes from a band who don't know how to write the same song more than once which means that while the songs all share a feeling distinctive to Arcane Roots, none of this album feels 'samey'. What's is even better is that while it feels like the band has matured without losing any of the intricacy and singularity that they hold. Love it.
