4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but a little generic, 21 April 2013
This review is from: Party Over (MP3 Download)
I've been very interested in Amelia Lily, as she is signed to Xenomania's label, the team behind most of Girls Aloud's songs. Her debut single, You Bring Me Joy, was a nice pop song, but wasn't completely amazing. However, her second single, Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) was. I really don't get how it only got to number 11.

So, her 3rd single is out, and it's easily the weakest of the three.

On the first listen, it seems like a boring and generic party song which are two-a-penny nowadays. But there's something about its Drum & Bass beat which makes the song very addicting. And when you listen to it several times, you realise it's better than most songs of its genre. It doesn't really stick to a certain structure, and almost seems like a load of verses and hooks one after the other. It's also a rather unpredictable. It's not as crazy as some of Girls Aloud's or the Sugababes' songs, but it's still interesting.

I think the song will get into the lower section of the top 10, and it probably won't get number one or top 5.
