I'm very much a beginner in photography although reasonably computer literate. This book has been invaluable in explaining how to use Aperture, both technically in terms of knowing what the various controls do, and aesthetically in terms of applying the adjustments to photos to improve them. I wold imagine that anyone who's done a fair bit of editing would find that a lot of the book goes over familiar ground, but for a relative newcomer the book is perfect. Highly recommended.

Easy to read, navigate and understand this book is good for Aperture 3 'newbies', like me. However, Aperture 3 moves quickly forward adding new functionality and changing its menus and appearance as it goes. So, don't be too surprised if this book is gradually overtaken by Aperture's evolution.
