I'm very much a beginner in photography although reasonably computer literate. This book has been invaluable in explaining how to use Aperture, both technically in terms of knowing what the various controls do, and aesthetically in terms of applying the adjustments to photos to improve them. I wold imagine that anyone who's done a fair bit of editing would find that a lot of the book goes over familiar ground, but for a relative newcomer the book is perfect. Highly recommended.

Wanted a guide to the basics of Aperture (have been using iPhoto for 12months)...and this book does just that.
Simply written, some good tips and hints..i've found it very useful and has helped me make the transition.

Easy to read, navigate and understand this book is good for Aperture 3 'newbies', like me. However, Aperture 3 moves quickly forward adding new functionality and changing its menus and appearance as it goes. So, don't be too surprised if this book is gradually overtaken by Aperture's evolution.
