5.0 out of 5 stars Nuclear Energy, 20 Mar 2014

I remember having a book by Fred Hoyle. Fred proposed back then that nuclear energy is safe and clean. The newer reactors produce far less waste than their predecessors. Things have moved even further since Fred left us, so his book 'The Black Cloud' is more relevant than ever.
I am confident, supremely so in fact, that even the most ardent anti-nuclear power supporter (I used to be one of those!) will change their mind. At worst, they may think about the subject and investigate further.
I have no qualifications above 'O' level and only English at that!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good informative book, 20 Feb 2014

Great!
A very good book detailing with all aspects of future energy we are trying to achieve. I found fussion and hydro power very interesting. Although this book is based on American industries and the many problems they are encountering in their quest for clean efficient energy, much of this book applies to the UK also. A very good read for such a small price.
