Initially I set out to buy a desklamp that I'd seen at someones house. It was a single spot lamp with just enough light to illuminate the keyboard area.
I couldn't find what I was after but came across this, and for £2.50 odd I thought what the hell. Wasn't expecting much but it seems nice and durable, the metal coil is stiff and you can angle the light in pretty much any angle.
Good amount of light for reading/typing/desk area, the colour it puts out is slightly blueish.

Bought another 2 to use elsewhere!

Great little item, not the cheapest but probably the best in construction. Have had other that fall apart, this seems much stronger and more durable.

I game and work till the wee hours of the morning and I hate to use the keyboard in the dark, needed something that could illuminate my keyboard(and desk) and at the same time save a bit on the electricity bill at the end of the month. I've been using it for quite some time now and I can honestly say that it does the job perfectly.
Pro's:
It's a simple USB powered light. Plug it in the USB port and bob's your uncle, you have light. It's very flexible where you are able to bend it to your hearts desire and illuminates very brightly.
Con's:
Only thing that I think that it needs is a little on/off switch. I use it on my desktop and everytime I dont need it or want to switch it off, I need to unplug it. In the beginning it's no bother, but after some time it becomes a hasle(BUT THATS JUST ME).

All in all it does it's job perfectly and would recommend it.

I wanted a light for my keyboard that wouldn't reflect on my screen, saw the daffodil looked like it it would fit the bill, works brilliantly.

Ok, so it seems that the light has no diffuser, and as expected creates 8 light patterns; different shadows.

Reason for buying: Control Booth during High School shows, because, well, they're needed!
Should do the job excellent, however, had for 5 minutes, and the positioning is not rigid, the socket connection to the USB port is "wobbly", but in some positions, the holder/cable will droop... not ideal when i am using both hands controlling a live mixer!

Not brilliant, maybe will employ the services of my friend the lighting tech, and 'gel' it, or put a diffuser over it.

This item is very good for my use I needed something to illuminate my keyboard which it does very well. I was pleased that it was a USB model it slots snugly under my pc without being in the way. The only down side is that it does not have an on/off switch so you have to unplug it each time....being partially sighted I find this a challenge!!

But no on-off button. Does the job, and the gooseneck means I can hang it off the monitor rib I have in between the monitors. Since it stays on, I can tell if the computer is off or just sleeping too. ;)

Fabulous and plenty of light. I bought this based on the great reviews and they don't disappoint. The only gripe is that to switch it off, you have to pull it out from the usb socket but I knew that before i purchased it so I shouldn't be complaining!!!!! This little flexible midget is extremely sturdy as I have bashed it about a bit, (not intentionally), I think it's all the inserting, pulling out then leaving it somewhere until it gets dark again, gets trampled on, pushed around. Anyway, it's held up to the constant changes I impress on it but I don't think it's complaining... yet. The midget is a plastic silver colour and the light is that horrid white light that I absolutely HATE but I tolerate it because it illuminates my keyboard when it's dark enough to see all my keys on my laptop as well as my surroundings. The coil is extrmely bendy and it actually stays where you position it, unlike some flexi coiled necks. It doesn't squeak either, nice and quiet.

First, I bought a different light that was under two quid delivered... I didn't expect much for the money but some reviews were quite encouraging... all I actually wanted it to do was light my flight-sim keyboard up so that I could have the lights off in the room - put to the test i would have been good but it only lasted about two minutes before overheating, going off permanently and ending up straight in the bin. This one arrived and straight off looked way nicer. The flexible part is much stronger and actually holds the light in my desired position. When placed centrally above the keys, the white light produced by this unit is sufficient to illuminate all of the keys in complete darkness. I have been using this light for several hours at a time without any overheating issues - in fact it stays very cool to the touch. No problems so far and yes, would order another... in fact might do at this price - a right bargain!
