5.0 out of 5 stars What a deal
Marillion are an experimental prog rock/rock group who over the years have not got the recognition they deserve. Although I own each of these albums in CD format I have stored them away as I do some travelling and studying. Purchased for under 8 for all 5 albums in MP3 format was too good a deal to miss and using Amazon's cloud player can play them anywhere in the world...

3.0 out of 5 stars brilliant music, very poor remastering
Whilst the Fish era Marillion is undoubtedly brilliant, I can't really recommend this set.

Whoever remastered them has done a real hatchet job on misplaced childhood by swapping the album versions of Kayleigh and Lavender to the single versions. They have also put gaps between the first 4 tracks ruining the seemless transistion between each track. Later tracks...

Purchased for under 8 for all 5 albums in MP3 format was too good a deal to miss and using Amazon's cloud player can play them anywhere in the world on any device. These albums include the front man "Fish" whose voice and lyrics gave so much depth and meaning to the tracks. Musically these albums represent a an era of sublime musicianship and imagination that will go on for another 100 years.

Later tracks are gapless but there is an audible click denoting where the track changes. This has ruined a brilliant album.

With Clutching at straws, they have again put gaps between the first four tracks, again ruining the flow of another brilliant album.

Whilst the music is great and really stands the test of time, the person who remastered these should really hang their head in shame.

All that said, there does not appears to be anything wrong with Script or Fugazi.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 5 Album Set, 26 Sep 2013

Can't fault this set at all - 5 albums for this price, 1.50 each. Great songs played with loads of passion, really takes me back to my late teens and early twenties. Marillion are one of those bands who never really got the recognition they deserved as they just played a type of music that wasn't in vogue in the eighties when they were most productive.

It'd been a long time since I was into Marillion.
But still every bit as good as I remember?

4.0 out of 5 stars The best Marillion albums all gathered together, 27 May 2013

The majestic Script...the underrated Fugazi...the classic Misplaced Childhood...the thoughtful Clutching - all together in a brilliant, value for money collection. The band have carried on to produce some further classics with Steve Hogarth as their vocalist (check out Seasons End and Marbles) but for those who loved the Fish-era Marillion, this is a must-have. You forget just how many classic tracks they have released. Assassing, Garden Party, Kayleigh, Lavender and Incommunicado are particular stand-outs for me but there is something for everyone here.

Five brilliant albums for the price of less than one! Cannot be bad! You would be mad not to indulge......especially if you are a fan of good, inventive music.
