It works, but needs wiggling and a firm hand.

What can you say about such a simple device? Well it's large enough to make decent sized ravioli with a good amount of filling, especially if you want to fill it with something chunky like whole scallops. The handle is comfortable which is a good thing, as it does need quite a bit of pressure and wiggling to actually cut through the pasta. Another minor negative is that this is hand wash only. The notched edges leave a nicely crimped and sealed edge and I have had no failures with the pasta opening during cooking - top tip: make sure that you do not leaver any empty airspaces in your ravioli - gently press down around the filling before sealing and cutting
