5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy perfection!, 5 Aug 2012

This album has to be the best debut effort for a metal band... ever!

The brainchild of a Mr. Keshav Dhar - an east Indian djentleman I've never heard of before in collaboration with Daniel Tompkins of Tesseract Fame and a few other guest musicians and vocalists. I'd think the music to be progressive metal with plenty of djent. The music never tries to be heavy just for the sake of it. The heaviness compliments the beautiful vocals and mellow guitars perfectly. The "Illusion" part has clean vocals by Dan Tompkins and the "chaos" section has a Sunneith Revankar with intense manic growls. This record is perfect in every way - amazing songwriting, breathtaking vocals and perfect production.

I've played this album everyday since the day I bought it, and it keeps getting better and better. Meshuggah's Koloss and even Periphery's new effort will have a hard time competing with this monster. I'm eagerly hoping for more amazing music from these madmen.

If you like metal, buy this album. If you love good music, buy this. If you like your wife, get her this. If you don't like anything at all, buy this.

Fantastic buy, a must for any fans of tesseract or periphery. This album is a tutorial on how to write a debut album. An absolute gem in my collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 11 Dec 2013
This review is from: Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos (MP3 Download)
Came across this by accident but glad I did. Metal has got increasingly dull in past year and I find myself getting less and less albums from the genre but this was a breath of fresh air.
Leaning towards the same alternative metal area as the likes of karnivool and tool without sounding like either. Like those bands though they managed to effortlessly produce complex yet memorable tunes. Musicianship is second to none.
Get it and do yourself a favour

5.0 out of 5 stars A class of their own.. sort of., 27 July 2012

This 'genre' of music will probably never get a mention on most radio stations but is full of top quality musicianship and professionalism, quite the opposite to generic radio beats.
Djent is used a lot to refer to these sort of bands that use a simular tone.
A great blend of heavy tones and equally dreamy, excentric songs.

For fans of Tesseract, Periphery, Basick Records' whole catalogue of music, stuff like that.
