5.0 out of 5 stars Clear and and easy to read, very interesting
This book was refreshing in the clear thinking and common sense it brought to the debate. Very easy to read and understand, with some very convincing arguments made to counter the 'consensus' view which the AGW establishment continue to preach.

3.0 out of 5 stars Core is right but a bit of a rant
Some useful ideas are presented but would be improved by a more dispassionate presentation. The withering scorn gets a little wearing at times.

Yet it is clear that even if only half of what he says is accurate, AGW is indeed a monstrous scam

This review is from: Climate Change Natural or Manmade? (Independent Minds) (Kindle Edition)
This book was refreshing in the clear thinking and common sense it brought to the debate. Very easy to read and understand, with some very convincing arguments made to counter the 'consensus' view which the AGW establishment continue to preach.

As you probably gather from the above, I personally am unconvinced of the establishment views on this subject and am horrified at just how so much of the evidence they produce is seriously flawed, so I admit to maybe writing a biased reviewed. But nevertheless, I do feel this book should be read by a wide range of people as it does explode so many of the myths and basic untruths, which continue to be peddled to keep 'believers' in line.

The book manages to remain easily readable most of the time, even when dealing with complex issues, and the author injects the write amount of scientific information needed to put his arguments across clearly.

I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested to learn more about the great climate change debate, to counter those who repeatedly claim the 'science is settled', and keep the media loving the dramatic stories they can provide.

This book is a must read item for anyone curious about the Climate Debate and perhaps also about the reasons for the escalating energy bills.
For me the pages merely reiterated much of that I have gleaned from the internet over the last 8 years. Quite astounding and indeed disturbing.
For the current establishment, this book is anathema and grossly heretical; so be warned that your green credentials may well be impugned should you dare to download this.
Roughly a third of the pages are dedicated to the sources of the information; so you may check it all.
All I hope is that you do something about it once read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Testimonial for Joe Fone's book, Climate Change, Natural or man made., 13 April 2013

This is a very clear book, easy to read, and suitable for anyone who wishes to gain a comprehensive view of climate science, and how that doesn't meet the IPCC Model scenarios.

I strongly recommend it to prospective purchasers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Concise introduction to a complex subject, 21 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
No book can cover all aspects of this very complex subject but this one manages very well. A die-hard believer will reject it unread but the enquiring mind will find much food for thought. It must be becoming obvious to everyone that all is not well in the world of climate models and catastrophe is postponed. This book gives some of the answers. Of course no one can predict the climate - it is too (apparently) chaotic and all parameters are not yet known, still less understood. Once one understands the true role of CO2 all other things fall into place and everything begins to make sense. This book can lead to other books for further information, and one can hardly suffer from too much information, before deciding what is going on. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Climate has been changing for 1,000 million, 17 May 2014

What this book reveals is the immense skulduggery between scientists. The general public imagine that a 'scientist' per se is objective, logical and a seeker of the truth. Whereas in fact they are subject to intense rivalries, they defend indefensible theories and far from being logical they stick to conclusions often in the face of fact. Lord Lawson wrote an appeal to reason. Don't expect scientists to be any more logical and reasonable than the rest of the human race. On the other hand there are some scientists, just as there are some humans, who have vision and logic and attempt to assess data in an objective way. So we have come out of the medieval period of the Inquisition, which would have tortured Galileo on the rack, and did put Giordano Bruno to death by being burnt at the stake. Today the Inquisition is very much alive as Warmist ignoramuses make life hell for those who do not conform to their mistaken theories. Joe Fone has done a great job in exposing the scientific cesspit

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this book. Please!, 17 July 2014

Every country leader should read this book. Also all news media including TV and papers etc need to read and follow up, giving a honest and unbiased opinion. This book has totally changed my mind regarding climate change. Joe Fone gives a tremendous amount of believable information for it not to be taken very seriously by any average intelligent person. You must buy this book. You will astounded.

5.0 out of 5 stars HITS THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!, 18 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Over the last century, the temperature has increased by only about 0.7 degrees C.This slight warming is entirely consistent with the well-established long-term natural climate cycles. Like Ian Plimer ("Heaven and earth:global warming, the missing science") and Robert Carter ( Climate: the counter consensus") I am a geologist, and we geologists have to take the long-term view (not hundreds or thousands of years, but millions or even hundreds of millions of years). Joe Fone also does this rather well and has produced an extremely well written and up-to-date book which essentially summarises all the arguments which global warming sceptics( or realists) raise against AGW. Having read Fone's book and those by Plimer, Carter,Booker ("The Real Global Warming Disaster")and Vahrenholt("The Neglected Sun") and numerous others, there is not a shred of doubt left in my mind that AGW is largely a scam perpetrated by certain individuals who have an axe to grind.
Read it! It hits the nail on the head!
