Beware of fakes, stick to Amazon
on 31 October 2013
If you are reading this then I "guess" you may want a genuine battery for your phone. I have nothing against compatibles - but I want to make that choice myself not be sold a fake at the price of a genuine!
Unfortunately it is difficult to tell which 3-rd party/marketplace sellers sell genuine and which not - so I bought from Amazon itself when the price was reduced by almost 50%. So it does pay to watch the price! Use one of the Amazon price trackers to be told when the price goes down.
This is exactly as the one that came with the phone so it won't give you longer time. Same 2600mAh, same size, NFC works, etc. If you are happy with your phone's battery you will be happy with this; if you wanted more then you won't be.
There are cheaper compatibles, with NFC also, but they don't seem to offer more power at the same size. If the price difference is small, I'd say go for genuine, after all the phone cost a mint so why skimp on battery?
The beauty is that you can use bigger batteries with a custom back - so if you need more power and don't mind the bulk try one of those. Alternatively, get a USB emergency charger (as big as you can afford) and charge your phone "in the field"...
