The combination of olive oil prior to using the syringe work very well. Be patient with the syringing - takes at least 10 times to remove ear wax gently. No after effects and saves regular visit to the Doctors. Best home treatment I have used so far. Suggestion - Make yourself comfortable at the sink on a chair before you start - to ensure you take your time with the treatment. Good Luck

Product arrived before stated date, well packaged and items correct
Read the instructions a couple of times and then applied the oil.
After 3 attempts I used the syringe and on second application my ear was cleared of a large amount of debris.
I did this whilst in the shower,a tip from someone earlier who had done this and passed it on.
At the moment fingers crossed, this has been a good buy.

I cleared my entire blockage on the second try after stumbling across the trick to get this to work: The instructions for the oil spray mention ‘Massage gently the Tragus’ after use, but the Syringe instructions tell you to just keep squirting until it comes out. For me, simply squirting resulted in just two tiny pieces coming out after using an entire pint of water on my first try. As soon as I started massaging my Tragus in between each squirt the blockage come out very easily within three or four syringes. Without the massage I suspect you could be doing this for days before anything sizable comes out and may explain the negative reviews.

What I did:

Spray the oil twice in ear before going to bed and try to lay so the oil stays in the ear whilst sleeping (I didn’t even do it the recommended twice a day).

Repeat for a week

Fill the syringe with warm (not hot) water. I used a 1pint jug to fill up from.

Don’t leave air in the syringe, it is extremely loud if you spray air into your ear (point the syringe to the ceiling and squeeze slowly until the air bubbles are out)

Now push the syringe hard in to your ear and spray quite hard. It will make a mess so do this over a sink and have a towel to hand. For me the water kept going in the eye near the affected ear, so you might want to keep it closed.

Between each application massage the Tragus!

Within about a 1/3 of a pint the blockage all came out

All the benefits of having a nurse syringing your ears without the hassle of the travel, waiting time and the lecture telling you we don't like doing this!!!

This is perfect for self cleaning your ears but you must use the Earol or equivalent first to soften the wax. Don't expect a quick fix, you must persevere once you start the treatment and everything will become clear. Then after 2 to 3 days of softening the wax twice or thrice every day, use the syringe in the bath or shower cos it gets messy...really messy!! I was absolutely shocked how much wax an ear can hold, its the bit the nurse never shows you in the kidney bowl cos it is disgusting!

Using the syringe is completely safe as you can not apply too much water pressure due to the size of the holes and only use tepid water.

I needed both my ears to be done and have currently completed my left ear which was the worst one and am now starting on the right as I needed some form of hearing as I deal with the public. Saying "eh, what did you say?" every 5 mins doesn't work well in customer services 😀

So do youself a favour, if your ears are blocked and there is no pain in them. Get yourself these...you will not be sorry!

I'd been struggling with build up of wax and massive loss of hearing for weeks and tried using various softeners. 20 minutes of gentle syringe removed all the built up and I can now hear perfectly again.

This a no brainer for anyone struggling with loss of hearing due to wax build up!

I bought the kit mainly for the syringe as I'd already been applying Otex to my left ear for 4 or 5 days. By the time the kit arrived my ear had begun to feel extremely full and had lost most of the hearing in it probably as a result of the ear wax having been softened by the Otex and consequently expanding. I followed the instructions the syringe came with and noticed lots of small fragments of wax coming out after most squirts. After approximately the 20th repitition a large amount of wax covered the end of the syringe , with another large soft lump falling into the sink. I kept syringing until no more wax was coming out of my ear and my hearing is now fantastic. Well done to whoever designed it !

Regularly suffer with blocked ears due to a kinked ear canal and have to make visits to get them syringed. Decided to try this product to save on having to keep making appointments. Took a bit of time to clear due to how blocked my ears were! Definitely worth buying.
