Fortune finds herself accused of murder after the return of a cheating beauty queen ( the daughter of the Celia - the geriatric catholic sprinter she beat to Francine's Cafe for Sunday banana pudding) is found dead in her mother's kitchen.
Her two sleuthing partners Ida and Gertie with some help from the recently "freed" Marie and her new friend Ally manage to annoy sheriff Carter while trying to keep Fortune from a life behind bars.
Funny and clever a really good read.

This is the second book in the miss Fortune series and it's just as good as the first, The series follows a CIA woman who is undercover in a small town trying to lie low but ends up befriending a group of old ladies that can give anyone a run for their money, They are so funny that you cant help but laugh out loud and cannot wait for every adventure that they get into, a really good series.

I've read all the books in this series now and I've enjoyed them immensely. There's a humour throughout the books and I can see all the characters in my head. I look forward to the next in the series which I think comes out later in the year

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. Murder, suspense & humour what more could you want from a story! Though a new proof reader wouldn't go amiss.

After reading the fantastic first book in the series I immediately bought this one and got down to reading. Jana DeLeon has nailed it again. Another story that had me laughing and unable to put the book down.
