5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific New Documentary
Take the phone off the hook and turn off the mobile - If there is anything you are not sure about in relation to the development of West Coast rock then you will find the answers here. Whilst appropriately centering around the union and story of CSN, this documentary (yes documentary ... it is not a concert) explains in detail from the people who were there and who matter...

3.0 out of 5 stars For CSN fans
It’s difficult to rate this DVD. I’ve given it 3 stars for general viewing, but as it is mostly the story of the forming of Crosby, Still and Nash, I’d upgrade it to 4 stars for CSN fans. It would have been nice to have more music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific New Documentary, 5 May 2013

Take the phone off the hook and turn off the mobile - If there is anything you are not sure about in relation to the development of West Coast rock then you will find the answers here. Whilst appropriately centering around the union and story of CSN, this documentary (yes documentary ... it is not a concert) explains in detail from the people who were there and who matter just how it all came to be. Thank God, I didn't have to sit through some current day producer or z-grade actor telling me about what it all meant to them ... who cares. Legendary Rock photographer, Henry Diltz who knew all of these musicians and even lived in Laurel Canyon himself was riveting in his reflections but it is worth the price of admission hearing the stories from CSN themselves. Don't let this one slide by.

2.0 out of 5 stars Actually the CSN&Y show..., 12 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Pretty poor show from Henry Diltz who presumably was just out to make a quick buck from his archives. Far too much CSN&Y (who I love) and scant regard for the rest of the legends of Laurel Canyon. Oh yes, Dallas Taylor (who features heavily) has a real chip on his shoulder. He seems to think that it was CSN&Y&T. Apparently Stephen Stills couldn't do without him. Sour grapes Dallas.

I was really disappointed with this - one to avoid sadly.

Really enjoyed it. Brought me back to my teen years and all the hope that there was. Gotta love CSNY.
