Conte Candoli
"Eight Classic Albums" contains the `classic albums (or LPs as we used to call them)
"Cool Gabriels (1954)",
"Sincerely, Conte (1954)",
"The Five (1955)",
"Toots Sweet (1955)",
"Mucho Calor (1957)",
"The Brother's Candoli (1957)",
"Jazz Horizon (1959)" and
"Little Band, Big Jazz (1960)".

The Real Gone Jazz label has garnered some really good reviews for sound quality.
The digitally enhanced sound is a good indicator but for a proper review I really suggest you read other, more knowledgeable people's reviews.
The collection is on 4 CDs encased in a double wide jewel case. Sound enhanced to boot makes this a tempting buy.

But the price at over £18 looks a bit steep £11 or just under seems to be the regular price.

Amazon, at the time of writing, has not provided a track list or the 'split' over the 4 CDS.
So this may be of interest and use?
Feel free to cut and paste- although I'd omit the very last track on CD 4 if I were you!

As always if you see any typos add a note and I will correct and credit you with the correction- just add a comment......

Another underrated player, He is also one of the top guys on
his instrument in that era on the West Coast. Buy it.

For the jazz critics that derided West Coast 'cool' jazz, this is a prefect sampler to validate their argument. In my opinion these albums were picked to validate that argument, but then I have heard more than is offered in this collection to know better.

New artist to me, first CD was a but ordinary, aimless early bebop , but the rest of the albums had a cool fresh almost Latin feel.
