Disappointing at first gets better with use v good quality
on 24 November 2013
Bought this on the basis of the reviews and I have a dreamland electric blanket which is great, but this heat pad is disappointing. It doesn't get very warm and the fast heat setting takes a long time to reach a noticeable warmth. Also the pad doesn't warm up all over only about 50% of the surface area gets warm which is annoying. On th plus side it is well made and the fabric is nice and soft but this does not make up for the low temperatures which defe ats the object of buying it, perhaps mine is faulty.
This is an update on the above review: having used the heat pad for a while now I would like to let you all know that I am much happier than I was at first.it isn't faulty and seems to work better than at first although there are some cool spots on the pad whewhich don't heat up when in use, where it does get warm the temperature is more noticeable on the highest setting it really does eases my shoulder pain and the 3hr auto feature is great for bedtime as you can fall asleep safe in the knowledge that the pad won't over heat or waste electric. It turns itself off after 3hrs. Which is great. It's still in goodt condition despite being used all day and most nights for over a month I need to put it in the washing machine soon, but I am confident all will be fine if I follow the info in the instruction booklet which is very comprehensive and clear. Overall, I like this product and would recommend it, just bear in mind that it takes some getting used to.
