I have 3 sizes of this bag, micro, small and medium. I like the fact that it has the bracket to attach it to the bike under the saddle, this means it is easy to change for whatever size I require. The one shown here is the smallest and is pretty small and would only fit an inner tube, tyre levers and a very small or basic multi tool (plus money). This is not what I would use for longer rides where more space is required, then I would go for either of the next 2 sizes up. I find the smallest one useful for quick local rides to keep the essentials. It looks good and is designed well. For size purposes I have added a photo of it by a cd remote, bike light and 6x4 inch photo.
I'm a keen cyclist, riding thousands of miles a year. I have four different shape and size Topeak saddle bags, both for different bikes and for different uses. I use the clip on design with F25 mounts so that they can easily be moved between bikes. The F25 fixer seems to fit any saddle with standard rails, from a road bike to a mountain bike.
These bags last, they really do. I've had a couple of mine for years and they've done thousands of miles, both on and off road, being repeatedly covered in mud and hosed off etc. In my experience the build quality will not let you down.
This particular review is for the Topeak Aero Wedge bag in MICRO size.
I use this as my standard every day bag on a Sportive Road bike. It carries essential tools, spares and everything to fix a puncture.
I've had The micro size for years and it has done literally thousands of miles both on and off road and still looks pretty new. Build quality is excellent! It will comfortably hold a 700c tube, levers, patch kit and a multi tool (the hexus in my case). There is a nice compartment at the side for the multi tool and a small pocket inside the opening which is perfect for a small patch kit. After that lot it will still close without forcing but there's little room for much else. Attach a pump to your bike and you've all all the essentials!
This is my second bag of this size and type. I ordered it because it holds everything I need. Inner tube, glasses etc. I had my last one for 6 years, the zip went because of all the mud getting stuck in the mud. This came really quickly - first class post. Brilliant! This is for my mountain bike, it would be too big for the road bike.
Topeak's traditional strap mounted `Aero Wedge Pack' saddle bag range includes - micro (capacity = 0.41L), small (0.66L), medium (0.98 expanding to 1.31L), large (1.48 expanding to 1.97L).
This small bag I use on a road bike to keep bulk and weight to a minimum. The approximate measurements are 15cm long x 7cm wide x 10cm (narrowing to 5cm) height.
On the outside rear facing side there is a reflective strip and a fixing onto which can be mounted a light.
Inside I can squeeze a spare innertube (700x19-23 size), a multitool (SKS TOM18)SKS Tom Multi-Tool 18 Tools in One Silver 2 tyre levers and a small puncture repair kit. It's a snug fit without stretching the bag.
Mounting is easy via the quick release strap which attaches to the underside of the saddle, and a Velcro strip around the seat post. Once tightened up it's very secure and wobble free, but can also be unclipped and removed quickly if necessary.
Perfect for training rides. Just enough room for a road tube, multi tool, couple of tyre levers and some patches. With all that tightly packed in there is no noise from it. Fits neatly under my narrow race saddle and so far (had over a year) is lasting well. Recommended.
The bag is a good size and fits easily to the bike saddle. It has an expansion zip should you need extra storage space. Also I had contacted the Supplier asking them to deliver asap & they responded to my email & the item was delivered as promised. I will buy again for family members as the quality of the bag is very good and the supplier were prompt with there delivery
Excellent... Very near and tidy fit under the saddle... iPhone 5, tyre levers, Multi tool.. Puncture repair kit... Keys.. And money no issues at all for the Small size which I have.. Only down side.. My small pump just a tad long to fit in.. So I carry that on the back jersey pocket..which I don't even notice it's in the pocket at all...
