I love KS and have everything that I can find that he's recorded. Therefore, I had to buy this album to keep my collection complete. Have listened to it once and I'm sorry to say it's not one of his best works. I have not been inspired to play it a second time yet, so maybe I'm being unfair. It may well grow on me. If you're a KS fan, you'll have to have this album. If you're not but are looking for a great KS album, perhaps to introduce yourself to his music, this is not the one to go for.

Hey guys - believe it or not, despite buying this on release day, I haven't had the time inclination to play it until now.

I've given it a listen, and honestly I think it's better than volume 12. The only drawbacks are use of vocal samples in some tracks - but thankfully they don't last long - and some samples of flute and harp, which have been ruined in my ears because of naff (unrelated) new age recordings.......

CD 1 is probably the best "Machine de Praisir", but to be fair I could listen to any of the discs in this one without any trouble at all. At times the last CD (Borrowed Time) channels Blackdance - which is my favorite Klaus CD.

As you know, I've bought each of the LVE sets, and I'll buy any more that come out on release. Frankly, if I bought a set that complete rubbish I'd still buy the next one - I want to collect them all. Having said that, some sets are better than others, and this one is good.

Booklet is the same as usual, with an article from KDM from the KS Circle Issue 36 (1999). The cover is the usua digipac, with three fold outs to accommodate the CD's (long gone are the LVE's that had one CD tucked in the front cover). The only difference cover wise is that this one isn't spot-highlighted on the front - the whole cover is glossy.

Oh - and the color of this set if BRIGHT orange.

I'm a big Klaus Schulze fan so it's not surprising that I like this. Those of you familiar with the series will know exactly what to expect and won't be disappointed. Perhaps not the best album for newcomers to Klaus's music, who might be better served by trying some of the other albums such as X, which are a little more accessible, it is nevertheless an excellent addition to the collection.

The latest in the long list of the La Vie Electronique. Machine de plaisir is probably the best track here followed by Arthur Stanley Jefferson, both originally from the long sold-out 'Silver Edition' set. My previous complaint about splitting single long tracks into their individual sections bears out if you download the 'Autorip' copy. The music no longer flows uninterrupted as it should do, but has a small gap between the end on one track and the start of the other. This makes it pretty much unlistenable to via this method. If only they had left the long tracks in their original format, but apparently 'the fans like it'. This fan doesn't, and I doubt others will.
