4.0 out of 5 stars A good buy, 7 Dec. 2013

Very pleased with this. Excellent value for money and not too heavy to handle. Just one thing - water leaks if below 2 on settings so do cool iron items first before you add water.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price, a few minor niggles., 23 Oct. 2013

I purchased this iron to replace a 20 year old iron that had seen better days. I researched online and chose this iron based on brand reputation, reviews and tests in particular a best buy award from Which?

Pros - I like the style of this iron, it is very easy to use and gives a good finish. It comes with a nice long lead approx. 2.5 metres (just over 8 foot), which makes it easier to use as you can be some way from a socket. The lead wraps around the base where there are grooves for the purpose of retaining it. Filling with water is easy with the supplied container with lip to easy pour the water into the iron. On the medium steam setting a maximum fill lasts about 25-30 minutes.

Cons - There are no written usage instructions supplied. The instruction booklet is all in pictures. These are small thumbnail type pictures in a storyboard arrangement all in black & white. It was a bit like trying to decipher hieroglyphics but it's not that difficult to work out how a steam iron works! The pictures are a bit small though so difficult if you have poor vision. On highest steam setting when the water tank is at the maximum level the iron deposits droplets of water over whatever is being ironed.

Overall, this iron is excellent for the price, approx. £25 at the time of purchase, although anything was probably going to be better than my old iron!

Fast delivery, excellent product. Great firm to deal with. The design is excellent, when I think of the days in the RAF with the old type of Iron we used to plug into the light an iron like this would have made life so much easier.
