5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money
Another top class book from Osprey, this one really delivers with photographs of the vehicles involved, cutaways and original paintings. The A7V is perhaps the most mysterious tank of the First World War, as there is so much conflicting information on it. 3.0 out of 5 stars With reservations
As with so many of the Osprey series, there have to be some reservations regarding the accuracy of the content, and in this case it is the illustrator who has deviated from good practice, and allowed himself to be misled when trying to use identifiable photographic sources. Illustration "F", which is captioned as showing "Beutepanzer 2", was not at Fort de la Pompelle...

Another top class book from Osprey, this one really delivers with photographs of the vehicles involved, cutaways and original paintings. The A7V is perhaps the most mysterious tank of the First World War, as there is so much conflicting information on it. Different authors give different accounts of the structure, armaments and even colour schemes, but this book seems to resolve all.

The text is spot on and the photographs clear and concise, including several I hadn't seen before.

All in all a very good book for historians and modellers alike.

Highly recommended

This review is from: German Panzers 1914-18 (New Vanguard 127) (Kindle Edition)
As with so many of the Osprey series, there have to be some reservations regarding the accuracy of the content, and in this case it is the illustrator who has deviated from good practice, and allowed himself to be misled when trying to use identifiable photographic sources. Illustration "F", which is captioned as showing "Beutepanzer 2", was not at Fort de la Pompelle onJune 1st 1918, having been put out of action on May 27th, during the battle at the Chemin des Dames. In trying to reconstruct the appearance of this tank, the illustrator has inexplicably ignored the evidence, and misunderstood the structure of the additions.
