5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Does what you wanted it for fits perfectly you have 2 cables within the bag, one with 90 degrees angle and one straight ends. The ends have locking pins to make sure they don't come loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Did the job perfectly., 2 Mar 2013

I bought these because I knew the ones provided with the case for my new build would be large and cumbersome. These cables are slim, flat and when bent for cable management, hold their shape very well.. They take up a lot less space than the standard ones, well worth the few quid. Plus 6gb/s means they're happy to pull whatever I need around.

Needed these for an additional HDD. Not particularly long or incredible quality but cheap and good for colour themed PC builds.

These are the same ones you get with a Gigabyte board, ie they are well made with a right angle which is useful when fitting to a case (some SATA cables don't have the right angle)

You get a locking mechanism which engaged when they are pushed in, this prevents the cable from coming lose and falling out. Though it isn't that common for this to happen with SATA devices, it's handy to have this.

Normal length is good enough even for a larger case, there are cheaper ones around, but the quality is good on these. Well worth looking at.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cables..., 18 Dec 2013

These cables where not very exciting, but they did the job. Worked with my SSD in combination with SATA 3 ports on my motherboard. Cables where sturdy enough and adequete in length. Probably could be a bit cheaper (6 pound for 2), hence 4 stars rather than 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what is says!, 12 Jun 2013

Not a lot can be said about a sata cable, but it arrived very quickly (way before market sellers approximate date)
Was a bit worried at first, as the packaging looked like it was beaten with a bat.... But the cables look great quality, nice colour if looking for a blue theme to your build. Fast data rate, and clips to make sure don't detach from SSD/HDD (Not yet tested)
Can't complain for less than a fiver for 2 (One straight - straight, one straight - angled)

Good stuff.

These cables have a firm fit with a click to confirm fully fitted they are well constructed and feel well made and not likely to suffer from movement breaks. Highly recommend this product.

A known brand (Gigabyte), well made and excellent quality. Makes a noticeable difference when used to connect a SATA3 drive to a SATA3 port so it does what it is supposed to do

2.0 out of 5 stars Plastic packaging looks like its been thrown about a warehouse for a couple of years, 9 July 2014

The cable came in terrible packaging, not by fault of Amazon but whoever stored/packaged the plastic. It looked tattered with the text imprint wearing off. Certainly did not look new or as I would expect a higher quality SATA cable to come packaged in. The cables appear okay, but it's hardly assuring with the way the packet looked. If you don't need a cable made to meet SATA 3 tolerances, you're better off just buying a cheaper version off amazon with a good rating

Disappointed with these to the point where I have not bothered using them. I dug out an old pair instead. Apart from the obvious need to make a good connection a SATA 3 cable has to be able to carry data at higher rate than a SATA 2 or 1. The data does not travel any faster along this cable than either the 2 or 1. So how does it do it. The answer is simple, it has more strands of wire. Imagine a single track road and compare it to a dual carriageway. The speed limit is exactly the same on both tracks but more vehicles can travel along the dual carriageway consequently the number of vehicles per hour is higher, and therefore on a 3 track road even more vehicle travel along it.

Going back to the SATA 3 cable you would expect the cables to have more strands of wire making the cable fatter than that in the other grades. You certainly would not expect the cable to be thinner as is the apparent case with these cables. Less strands of wire means less electrons to push the wave of data along. Consequently these cables are causing a bottleneck or going back to the vehicle analogy these cables will cause a traffic jam.

I agree that they are a nice compact cable and they are a pretty blue but neither of those facts make these SATA 3 capable. You should also question the word 'original' in the products description. I have to ask, original to what?

So as I no longer possess a system that uses a SATA 1 or 2 device these cables have been consigned to my cable draw and I suspect their next destination will be the rubbish bin. It would cost more than they are worth to send them back
