The Sleeping Truth - A romantic medical thriller - book 1 by Ian C.P.Irvine
on 30 May 2014
To tell the truth, I wondered what was meant by medical thriller, as I read halfway through the book before any medical influence came into the story. The first half was taken up with mentally sorting out relationships by the male character. Which at the time I thought was far too long... but having read both books now, I see that it was probably the right way to approach this two book series, as it details how screwed up this thinking was, which then outlined what would happen with his forth coming relationships. I wouldn't say this was a medical thriller either, but more like a drama with very little medical in it, although it does go through a month of the London bombings scenario, which, as I can remember that well, brought tears to my eyes. But there is much to laugh about in the two books, so things do have a lighter side. You do need to read both books though, as it outlines all the characters in detail which is needed. These novels can be bought as a complete set, instead of individually as I did. So many twists and turns in book 2. By the end of books two you feel as if you have just experienced a really good read. Both books are well worth a read.
