The first half of the book feels like padding - it's being purchased by professionals who need to get a grip of Windows deployment and don't need to be "sold" on Windows itself.
The second half is good. I was deploying VMs from nothing after a few hours without using the "hydration kit". You can't beat doing it yourself.
It pulls together topics reasonably coherently but it needs an errata. I felt there was lack in the structure - a paragraph or two are the start of each section outlining the objectives of the section and what will be learned.
