Since 1990 ive known about Deicide on high school.
The last 1,5 years i'm redescover the old bands that i loved than Deicide, Morbid angel, Slayer.
This box is awesome! all the Deicide classics in one box.

Good package if, like me, you don't really have space or the inclination to have thousands of jewel cases lying around the house. The music speaks for itself - for me, Once Upon The Cross and Serpents of the Light are the best albums of Deicide's early career, with the debut and Legion also being classics.
The later two, Insineratehymn and In Torment In Hell are okay but lacking a spark. The production on both is poor, the guitar tone is terrible, and even Steve Asheim's drums sound terrible! Yet some of the songs are okay and I do still listen a lot to both these albums. Insineratehymn is the best of the two, with some really cool tunes and more melodic leads than previously, although the cover art is rubbish. In Torment In Hell has great cover art but it's the poorest musically in the whole package. None of the songs are very memorable and even the band admit it was just a filler to finish their contract with Roadrunner, similar to what they did with 'Til Death Us Do Part.
In terms of the package - you get a box which is nice enough, but mine has a stupid foil sticker on it which I can't get off without ripping the cardboard! What's that all about? Inside, the CDs are in cardboard sleeves with the art and track listing. It's a nice little set but it would have been even nicer to have a small booklet with, for example, a history of the band - even if it just came from Wikipedia! It simply feels a little bit TOO sparse.
Overall though, good value. Five stars for the first four albums, three and a half stars for the other two, and five for the value.
