4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely girl, lovely read., 28 Jan 2013
This review is from: Taylor Swift: Teardrops and Guitars (Kindle Edition)
Teardrops and Guitars has a brilliant opening - the classic and hilarious Kanye West moment at the VMA's. It then goes in to her childhood and family history, which is really interesting. I had no idea that country music did not exist for girls her age and it was interesting to learn that she really was a pioneer for the genre and worked hard from a very young age. It was also fun to learn of the connections between boyfriends and songs on her albums. Overall a good read, insightful and interesting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Swift Success., 5 Feb 2013
This review is from: Taylor Swift: Teardrops and Guitars (Kindle Edition)
This biography is well researched and explores the history of Nashville and how it was the centre of the music world, making or breaking careers. It delves into Taylor's move there with her family and her different experiences with record labels. Despite her many sufferances at school from bullies, Neil shows through quotes from colleagues and others how she still became a strong, kind and trusting person. Swift has become wonderfully successful of late. This book posits how her success has been deserved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bio of life and career, 29 Jan 2013
This review is from: Taylor Swift: Teardrops and Guitars (Kindle Edition)
This biography is a must have for Swifties. I love her music and this is a great summary of her life and career, right up to the present, including the fleeting relationship with Harry Styles and the brand new album Red. It is well written and includes a lot of opinions from magazines and Taylor and her family. She is fantastic and a real inspiration and the book really conveys this.
