Warranty only of use to those who don't need their computers

Screen lasted only a few months before developing a fault - this takes a the form of a washed out area spreading from the bottom right hand corner. This area looks white on a black screen. I didn't worry about this too much to start with as I mainly use my computer for office work and the screen was still usable. However this bleached area has now spread to cover 15-20% of the screen and so I looked at the warranty.This was when I found out that Hanns-G's warranty is only of use to those who can do without their computers for a fortnight or more, as all they offer is 'take away and try to repair' rather than automatically providing a replacement as most other large and reputable companies do. I explained in my email correspondence with Hanns G that I could not do without my computer for this length of time - to which they replied with words to the effect of 'too bad that's how we do things'.
This is the second Hanns G screen I have had and both have failed - I will not be buying a third
