5.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps a synopsis for a film!!!
Sunday Morning illustrates how Britain changed during the 60`s, with the attention to detail which a newspaper journalist during those years absorbed and wove into an unforgettable read. People who were young in those years will recognize events, fashion, music, way of life. Younger people will be absorbed by the plot and characterization A fascinating story, well...

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining.
Quite an entertaining book about two couples who became very close friends, then things started to unravel. Not one of the best books I have read but Connolly has an easy writing style which makes it readable, uncomplicated.

What a great and intense read. I was completely enraptured and captured by the characters in this wonderful story. They were all real and believable and to me, as a child of the sixties growing up in that era, authentic.
I caught glimpses of some " faces " of the time involved in the story as it unfolded. And what a story it was with an unexpected ending - at least , for me, until the final chapters.
Just wish I hadn't read it so quickly ...

This is one of the best novels I have ever read. The characters are utterly believable, the love thread so real and the storyline enthrals. Described as a love story, it is that alright ...but with a twist. A very gentle and entertaining thriller!

I have read and re-read this novel many times and it is one of my favourite books of all-time. I agree with the previous reviewer - it would make a brilliant film. Very well-written.
