I simply took these three units out of their boxes, plugged them in and switched them on!
Instant internet throughout the house. I didn't push any buttons or load up any software. Great!
My house was built in 1974 and has an RCD, so fairly modern wiring.
My router is now next to the main telephone point so now my lousy broadband is a bit better.
BBC iplayer via a Wii works well through these.
I didn't give them 5 stars as these units do have some weight below the plug, so on an old socket, they start to unplug themselves. The fix is to replace the old wall socket and for Solwise to make these a bit lighter.
The mains pass through idea is very useful, but I've only run low power units from the Solwise socket. Not sure how you would get on with the full 13 Amps (eg. a cooker!). But then why would you?

I bought 3 of these and plugged them into nearby sockets, pressed the button to get them to "pair". After that I put them where they were needed around the house, plugged in network cables and have not needed to touch them again. No more problems with intermittent wifi everything just works and it is so much faster backing up/streaming to/from my RAID now. Very happy with this product ( I give 4 stars when something does what I expect, well).

Bought this pack instead of the TP-Link TL-WPA4220T KIT AV500 Triple pack. I went with a recomendation posted in the feedback. We will never know if the TP Link product is any better or worse but it did have features I would have prefered. That said, the Solwise product does the buisiness. Plug the adapters in, connect cables to Modem, TV and Xbox, allow units to talk to one another, three green lights and away you go. No fiddling, pressing buttons or deciphering user guides. Very refreshing to have a tech product that is plug and play. Mains pass through is a benefit behind TV where there are a confusion of cables and plugs. The Solwise unit is slightly wider than some three pin mains plugs so shuffle stuff around, not a big deal. No buffering on BBC iplayer or Xbox gaming lag in bedroom. Mission complete. A good buy.

I work in IT (providing technical support) so I already understood what these did and how they worked etc. Truth be told, they were plug and play! So straight forward, and saves me having to wire ethernet cable around the house. Speeds are great, I really cannot complain. They do run a little warm, which is a shame as that's not particularly efficient, but for ease of use and speed, 5 stars. As to reliability, I'll keep an eye on things. Powerline adapters in their nature seem to suffer from reliability problems after prolonged use.
