Ok this tablet gets a bad press, and it does not deserve it. The fact is people see the price tag and screen size(10)and think yes i'll have it.Its only when they compare it to an Ipad or a Samsung of similar size that they start moaning. These are the facts..The Archos titanium tablets in any size are only entry level tablets, and should be treated as such. don't buy one if you plan to create spread sheets, data bases or plan on using it for buisness email. the processor wont take it. What it is good at is streaming video, netflix or youtube work fine. apps all work fine, in fact if you stick to using apps for everything then this android is great. newspaper apps look great on it..I myself love audio books at night and it has never let me down.we are almost in a total app world, and you can get by just fine shopping with apps.I use my tablet upstairs only, im 30 feet from the router, signal connects every time, door shut or not.The charger is pin type so dont be heavy handed with it and it will last. To sum up this tablet will be sufficent for anyone with patience who does not expect a responce in nano seconds from their device, dont give it to much to do, one instruction at at time and you have a decent tablet with a good screen size at a nice price. If i can be of any help to anyone buying this tablet don't hesitate to ask me any questions ..ill be happy to answer..

I bought this for my wife as a present, and now after 8 months,, wish I had spent extra and gone for a Samsung or something similar.
Pros:
- Looks good
- Quality of build is good, and strong

Cons:
- Always slow
- Very poor customer service
- Broken after a software update.

Currently back to Archos, after repeatedly contacting their customer service, to be looked at.

Researched the market before purchase and identified the pros and cons. Whilst it is not an IPad it meets the needs of anyone wanting access to basic computing the internet and media on the go. Any limitations can be easily worked around using the wide range of on-line storage options now available. No Bluetooth but the on screen keyboard and audio output work fine. The WiFi reception is adequate for most needs. The device will work with a USB dongle where no WiFi signal is available. I would recommend this tablet to anyone considering the IPad mini, for £160 less than the Apple product you get a fully functional device.

Had the tablet for about a month or two, but the charger inside of the tablet broke and it would not charge, but getting repaired for free but overall great tablet, Here are some bad things about the tablet that i want to point out,

1. The Charger breaks easily.

2. The Speaker is at the back of the tablet and therefore if your watching YouTube, either you have to turn to tablet around so you cant see the video for better sound, or just blast it while watching the video.

3. The Wifi is quite bad, you have to be in either the same room as the router, anything over 13 meters and it doesn't pick up a signal :(

4.The Camera isnt very good quality, but you should already know that because it tells you the megapixel(2x)

BUT, That been said, if the charger doesn't break, and you have headphones, don't use the internet far from the router, for the price its a good tablet, hope this helped.

The screen is the best feature of this tablet. Everything else is really bad.

Android is a bit of a buggy operating system anyway whatever tablet you buy unless its high end over £400 but even then it can be jerky at times.

On this the wifi is appalling as in range and speed, the processing is hopeless very laggy at times and the apps arnt very responsive either. its nothing like an ipad smooth, but I hate apple how your tied in with them how you have to use itunes to transfere things. Androids are just easier and better alot more versatile they not fussy about files or transfers its easy and you can plug any old mouse or keyboard in via usb. Plus apple products cost too much.

I have a tesco hudl and a Samsung s4 galaxy to compare it with and they both are far superior.

But the screen on this thing I like alot, its high quality sharp and nice to look at, nice 4:3 format. had to get rid of the black bar at the bottom though what a part waste of a nice screen(android home , back etc soft keys ) ((I used VROOT to get it rooted and hidden via an app, now its lush)) so if you want a tablet for displaying things or reading on a nice clear screen at around £100 ish its not a bad buy. I wouldn't pay anymore than that.

When I got the tablet it seemed ok at first, bit slow and the screen was a bit unresponsive but not slow enough for me to complain. But after a bit the screen started to scramble and flutter to the point where you couldn't use it, it went after a bit though. But it came back again and again, and it started to get worse, the tablet got extremely hot, I had to cool it with a dry ice pack. Apart from that there is no standard warranty, no card in the box with atleast a year on. Theres a rubbish 28 day return period, mine was only a few days beyond the deadline, so they rejected me and offered to fix the junk that I wasted £175 on. Then I found out you can get an ipad mini for 2 inches smaller and £25 more at much better quality, a small compromise but worth the quality, now i'm stuck with a bad reminder. The seller who refused me was "in2digital", i'm not sure if that shoddy return policy is theirs or Archos's, either way both of them have left a bad taste in my mouth. Amazon however helped me as much as they could as they always do, so 5 stars to Amazon.

The tablet looks great, when it works. You are probably thinking I am being very harsh but please look at the pros and cons below...

Pros:
- Looks great
- Plays movies in HD (great for when in bed or lying on couch)
- HD screen is very nice for viewing photo's and reading (Kindle etc.)

Cons:
- Wifi only works when you are in the room with the router (about 5-6 feet away)
- Very slow response to every touch (takes 2-3 seconds to recognise touch on application, keyboard etc.)
- You will need to perform a factory reset every month to keep it somewhat working normally (you will lose all data, apps, photos, movies, music, etc.

I've only had mine 2 months and after 2 factory resets it is going back for a refund - thankfully Amazon are probably the best company in the world in terms of returning items.

I recommend you do not buy this tablet but spend a little more money and get one that will work for longer than a month.

I picked one of these up a couple of days ago. i needed a cheap tablet. In this case cheap it is, cheap and nasty it is not. HD screen great sound very reactive. Archos have upped the ante and deserve to be taken very seriously. Mine came with a glitch, when I went to play store the picture would judder however a firmware update sorted that.
PS having run this for over a week I can happily inform you that the battery life in standby mode is very good. My old archos 101 had trouble finishing the day. This one is well into it's third, and I haven't had to shut it down to conserve the bat.
