Perfect for purpose - they're not just great for whisky and malt alcohols, they're also great for fizzy drinks, water, even milk or smoothies. As far as I can tell they don't absorb the flavour or the liquids they are submerged in, and they stay cold for quite a long while, especially if stored in the freezer. They dry rapidly being stone, so they can be quickly put into the freezer after drinks are drunk and exchanged for others fairly quickly to keep drinks cold throughout the night.

Only two flaws really, and both related to user error. The first - don't refreeze while still wet, that didn't work out so well for me, funnily enough. The second, don't drop them into fancy crystal tumblers, use a pair of small tongs, otherwise you'll break a glass and get moaned at. Take it from me.

Worth buying if you like your drinks cool. Especially good for drinks where the watering down from ice cubes affect the flavour - namely alcohol, but also some smoothies and the like.

stone ice cubes. seems strange but work great, no more watered down whisky.
just grab them from the freezer for instant cold drinks, also works in fruit drinks.

I bought this as an alternative to having to constantly make ice cubes for drinks. My main issue with them is, they simply don't cool drinks enough. The freezer in my kitchen is often overflowing with ice due to how cold it is, and it would cool these stones to almost untouchable levels. But then when they are put into any drink, they seem to immediately warm up again, and they don't cool the drink anywhere near as much as an actual ice cube. Leaving me with just a few stones clattering around in the bottom of my glass. Overall, a pretty pointless purchase to be honest.

Chills but doesn't dilute the great malts,so safe to add a splash of water to enhance the taste and nose

Wouldn't recommend. I purchased these as a gift and found that they don't really cool the whiskey very well, which is supposed to be their function..so not overly impressed.

They do what they are supposed to do. They keep my whisky cold much longer than normal ice cubes and they do not dillute the drink, therefore you can enjoy the flavor of your beloved whisky without any problems.

If not the really generic 'Whisky stones' text on the pouch I would give it 5 stars. The pouch itself is really nice, but the text with some random generic font makes it look extremely cheap.

No matter the pouch, it's a great product for every whisky lover.

The idea is brilliant for a whiskey drinker who does not like to add any more water but prefers a cooler tipple. However these stones are a waste of money as they simply do not work. The chilling effect is minimal and all 8 stones in a double measure has zero affect on the temperature.

The packaging is good, you get a total of 9 stones and a pouch, so for the price you can't go wrong. They look the part and chill a bit (not as good as ice), but they don't dilute the whiskey, so overall worth it. Good idea for a present for a whiskey fan.

Useless, they don't do much cooling and are quite heavy so they can easily break the glass there in if there isn't much liquid in there which is the case when pouring whisky. Do not buy and please avoid
