a new band with old (80's) values. similarities to classic bands and well-known rockers aside, voodoo circle are more than imitators and resurrectionists. yes, they've captured the 'sound' of certain iconic artists from back then, but they don't exploit the success of their predecessors so much as pay tribute to the talent and passion that led to their fame.

3.0 out of 5 stars at which stage does homage become plagirism?
I really love David Readman, singer of Pink Cream 69. In here he is obviously having some good fun and shows he can sing like David Coverdale, hats off to both. This band is however called "Axel Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle" and were it not for Readman, I would dismiss it entirely as just another tribute band. You will find copies of Whitesnake's Child of Babylon and Purple's...

a lyric here, a solo there, it's all very (eerily, almost) familiar, and yet, re-invigorating. 'more than one way home' is more than just a reflection of the past, it's also a doorway to an era and a reminder of those who stood tallest - of those who forged the path to begin with. in other words, it's a musical shortcut, an alternate path to a familiar place, for those of us who know exactly where we want to go...

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful and emotional at the same time with some amazing tunes in it and, in my humble, opinion this is their best album to dat, 19 April 2013

Album number three for Alex Beyrodt's VOODOO CIRCLE. Their classic, and sometimes neo-classic, melodic hard 'n' heavy sound drew the attention of the European fans immediately and that's why this band achieved to establish themselves as the epitome of quality in the hard rock scene.

With a bunch of some great musicians οφ their class such as David Readman of Pink Cream 69 and the mighty Mat Sinner, you can't go wrong with Voodoo Circle's music. The inspired and breathtaking riffs and solos of Alex Beyrodt are the trademark of Voodoo Circle's music. Powered by Readman's powerful performances and from Sinner's solid bass lines, this band is to offer us another strong release and this time in a more classic hard rock direction.

The fact is that from the first time that I heard their first single, "Cry For Love", I was blown away by this Whitesnake-esque tune! Amazing, heart full and so emotional are the words that comes to my mind for this brilliant track. So, I was a bit curious about the rest of the album. So, after a couple spins of "More Than One Way Home" all my expectations were fulfilled in a positive way! No fillers here, just pure 80's ass-kicking hard rock in the vain of Whitesnake's 1987 eponymous release.

All in all, this is a solid release! Powerful and emotional at the same time with some amazing tunes in it and, in my humble, opinion this is their best album to date. For all the fans of Whitesnake's earlier works but, also, for the fans of bluesier hard rock stuff, this is a must have! One of the best albums so far!! (ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR HEAVY PARADISE)

Great album, good production. Classic rock with a bit of modern metal thrown in. To me cross between old and new Whitesnake, great vocal mixed with the Aldrich guitar sound. Alex Beyrodt is a fine player and is well backed up by the rest of the band. I will be purchasing their previous albums. It's a shame I probably won't get to see them play live in the UK.

This band is however called "Axel Beyrodt's Voodoo Circle" and were it not for Readman, I would dismiss it entirely as just another tribute band. You will find copies of Whitesnake's Child of Babylon and Purple's Perfect Strangers in here. These are the most glaring things and the rest would be as much fun, were the guitar player not trying to play the big "star" of the band - yes he can emulate Blackmore's riffs but let s be serious. Without David I would not give this a serious listen. Good stuff, but pale copy of the real thing ...
