Replaced the same fitted to my Dahon speed 7 that one wore out after 2 years. Read reviews of other brands of inexpensive folding pedals all of which seem to fail quickly. I didn't wish to spend £40 plus on better quality ones so stuck with the exact same type as originally fitted to the bike. They certainly are easy to fit and smooth in operation, but as you can actually...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fragile pedal
I have a Tern D8 2012 which is equipped with such pedals. After 1000 km, both the left pedal's internal axis broke. Fortunately didn't fall off, because the folding housing does not let it, but it had a massive play inside the housing so I had to replace it. If you search for Tern D8, you will see plenty of complains on broken pedals. One of the explanation is that it...

One of the explanation is that it matters which side and how do hold your feet during the pedalling, which is ridiculous. I think it's simply just a light, plastic design with a fragile axis.

Now I'm using an MKS FD-07, which is 4 times pricier, much heavier pedal, but I don't want to risk an accident between two lorries on London streets.

I didn't wish to spend £40 plus on better quality ones so stuck with the exact same type as originally fitted to the bike. They certainly are easy to fit and smooth in operation, but as you can actually see the ball bearings fitted in the end means water, dirt etc can work its way in. We'll see how long these ones last.

I needed these exact pedals for my folding bike as they were the same ones already on my bike. Fitted easily in a few minutes.

Arrived earlier than expected, and exactly as described. Note they weigh about 75 grams each more than the original equipment on my Dahon D7HG, (one of which seized up after just 10 months use!) So far these Suntour pedals seem more robust. They were easy to fit too. No hesitation in recommending.

I bought these pedals as they were under £10 including postage which is good value.

They were very easy to put on the fold-up bicycle I have and the folding mechanism works well. If you're after a rugged budget pair of folding pedals, these are very good value. They also turned up within a few days of ordering, which is good service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good peddles, 10 Feb. 2014

Good product. Good folding action.

I appreciated the instruction to note the right or left handedness of the thread (R or L stamped on the end of the thread, looking towards the front of the bike) when screwing the peddle on, with a spanner.

Recommended.

A folding bicycle I bought had normal pedals fitted. This made it a tight fit into a bag. These folding pedals have solved the problem.
