An enormous amount of works by this amazing and humble man. It will take ages to read it, but well worth the effort to get at the information that helped to inform Darwin and finally pushed him to publish. Wallace was one of the giants whose shoulders others stand on.

Lots of information here for those interested in theories of evolution. I have only dipped into this so far but it's much more readable than Darwin.

A well written and enjoyable in sight into an area and a time. The slap dash way spelling mistakes were left in because the were excepted my the spell check but made no sense, especially towards the end when a number of errors were on each page, is annoying. It forces the reader to reread parts correcting someone else's laziness.

Nice collection but don't look right on Kindle. I love the books on the own but not in this collection. The formating of the book uses lots of ? in the text and it not right.
The books on them own are a worthy read into history of the formation of Evolution as a subject.

I found it very disappointing as it seems, largely, to be a list of things he saw, shot or did and of his many ailments.

Haven't read it yet but have found from other reading that Wallace writes engagingly in excellent English, though is regrettably nationalistically English, apparently unaware of the precise designation, history and nature of the nation state of which he was a citizen, thus likely to give offence to modern Irish, Welsh and Scots.
