A good read
on 31 August 2013
A woman is snatched from her car and the husband is suspected of her murder. He takes his daughter and runs, creating a new life for them - until 3 or 4 years later an ex-FBI woman finds him and persuades him to join in the hunt for his wife and for her sister, who also vanished in mysterious circumstances. She is sure they are both alive and has some clues as to where to start looking, but she needs his help. Perhaps some of her "leads" are a bit far-fetched, but hey, this is fiction!
Eventually they end up in an isolated part of America surrounded by ice, snow and wolves - hence the book title, of course. In the hunt for their missing relatives, the husband and the FBI woman uncover a nasty enterprise being carried on by "the baddies".
There is some violence and sex in the book, but I didn't find it excessive and it was part of the story. I liked the twist at the end of the book.
I also read Run by this author and I gave it 5 stars, but I would also recommend this book and will look out for more by this author.
