Just asked my 6 year old son to rate this book...."extremely good" came the reply! We have now read all the series and look forward to the new book at the end of the summer 2013. My son has really enjoyed this at bedtime and always tries to push for just one more chapter! Well written to keep parent and child's attention (neither my husband or I like to miss out on the next chapter either). Our younger children listen in too but think 5+ would really be the best age to start this series.

A most enjoyable book, particularly for parents and grandparents to buy for their loved ones. Other reviews have likened it to the style of Enid Blyton and I can see the similarity but why not? It's what children like. Pleasant for kids and wholesome but still interesting.

Set in the 1950's and reminding me of the Blyton books-the adventurous 4 and the famous 5. Still it was an enjoyable read with each
child taking an active part in the adventure. Will appeal to fans of adventure of all ages.

Review by Davids wife! "Having now read all Paul Moxhams 'Adventure Series books I feel I should write a review. As an avid Enid Blyton and W E Johns reader I came upon these books while searching for Blyton books on Kindle. Finding that he was writing in the same genre as these two authors I felt that I had to give his books a try. I think that they are somewhat faster paced than Johns or Blyton, but so full of adventure and derring-do that they were hard to put down. I will certainly read them again; and I look forward to his new books coming out in 2013!!!
