It was a nice easy read and an enjoyable story…. For that it was near enough a 3 star read for me! I liked both main character Ethan and Nadine and could at times feel the chemistry between them… I also thought the baddie as such was written well in Sandra, I know I didn’t like her at all! So if you are looking for something to tune out, read, and enjoy in an afternoon this would come recommended as a freebie.

Had I paid for the book I would have been disappointed. It is in need of an editor but was happy to read around that as it didn’t distract too much from the story! My main complaint is how it jumps from one person’s point of view to the other with very little warning. Also I am not a great fan of being told the story rather than hearing it from either one characters perspective or the other. With that said I found the story line enjoyable enough to keep reading until the end!

I am not certain I would read anything by this author again, but shows potential after having a few books under her wings may give it a go but again wouldn’t want to pay for it!

I considered the rating because I really liked this book it kept me laughing at the relevant parts and interested in the whole story, I disliked the length as I felt it could have been a bit longer. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and a bit of light reading.

I'm glad I didn't pay for this! It has to be one of the most predicatable stories ever written - I'm not sure how it ever got published. The writing is stilted and the plot shallow. Dreadful! I wouldn't even recommend it for a holiday read. It will be deleted from my Kindle library as I've no intention of reading it again.

I chose this rating because this book was like a Mills & Boon, it was so predictable.
Would suit a younger person.

Okay so at first I was a bit apprehensive about how this was going to work. I think I'd be too busy cringing if a strip dance was going on in front of my eyes to even have time to find an attraction, but it happens of course. Ethan isn't actually a stripper, he's helping a friend out but he is an escort (although he doesn't sleep with his clients). He does that to earn money for materials in order to do his metal sculptures. Nadine is so uptight that she doesn't really take the time to get to know Ethan so she has no idea about his metal work and doesn't hide it very well from her colleagues.

Ethan is absolutely lovely, he's a complete gentlemen and Nadine is such a bitch to him sometimes. You do get the feeling, as does Ethan, that she's ashamed of him and she comes across as a bit snobby. However, the attraction is there and the fact that Nadine has paid him to act like her boyfriend is the reason for her holding back. Not the first story I've read with this plot but it wasn't so bad.

It followed the standard romance novel pattern, and there was a very lame misunderstanding. Despite Ethan saying that he lives with roommates she automatically assumes that the girl who opens the door of his house is his girlfriend and this causes her to believe that it was all just a business deal.

I liked Ethan but I didn't like Nadine as much. It was nice that she found someone who made her see more in her life than her career and of course the bitchy boss got what was coming to her! The only big kissing scene was when Nadine had had a few drinks so that wasn't going to go anywhere, it was steamy but no sex. Booo.

As it's free and can be read in an evening I would say it's a good time filler but no need to rush out to get it.

I chose to read 'The Proposal' based on its fun-looking cover and I was not disappointed by its content. It is a quick, light-hearted read and I enjoyed every second of it.

Nadine is a wonderful character, a hard-working and ambitious woman with little time in her life to find 'The One'. There is one last career hurdle before Nadine reaches the top of her game and the only thing standing in her way is her lack of partner and her awful boss, Sandra. There is a business weekend coming up where everyone is expected to bring their other-halves and Nadine needs to prove she has a well-rounded personal life as well as professional. Big-boss-man Mr Zimmerman is going to be there and Nadine cannot let him down.

Ethan, for all Nadine knows, is a gorgeous stripper and escort. They meet at Nadine's younger sister's hen party, where Ethan invites her to rub oil all over his body. The two are destined to be together from the moment an unusually shy Nadine refuses to join in and hides away in the kitchen to finish off a report for work. A few days later, in a panic about the looming working weekend away where she will need a date, Nadine calls the escort agency where Ethan works and books him for the entire weekend.

If you're looking for a short read that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling, then 'The Proposal' is perfect for you. I will definitely be going onto reading the second book in the series!
