Ethan has the unusual ability to populate his stories so convincingly you get absorbed into them. Both Kinesis and Kaleidoscope are worthy of making into films, a point I have communicated to him. Please do read these, you will be hooked right to the end. A brilliant pair, very well done.

Another brilliant read from Ethan Spier. I found this one slightly harder to get into but when I got there couldn't put it down. Moving ending and twists in the tail kept me reading and looking forward to the next book.

The author does a fine job here of building tension as the story unfolds and the secrets of some really interesting characters are revealed. An unexpected twist is woven into the plot with real skill. Well worth a read.

...but no as gripping as Ethan's first book. Still, has a nice twist and it gets better the more you read. ;)

I was looking forward to this book after reading kinesis and hoping he'd mature as a writer as he had shown promise, but this really is a shambles of a story, it's predictable and feels lazily written - even ignoring the grammatical errors. Very disappointed. I'm surprised at the excellent reviews. I must have missed something!

Read the book - it is very good. When you have, consider these words below.

"...The friends we have lost do not repose under the ground...they are buried deep in our hearts. It has been thus ordained that they may always accompany us..."
― Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

This book was a truly remarkable read. It was so cleverly written and held you to the end. It scared and shocked me at times but it was enthralling. This book would make a brilliant movie. You HAVE to read this book by my now favourite author. Bring it on Ethan Spier. When is the next book Ready?
