4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining if not a little frustrating.
Being released as a boxset I would have hoped the third would be the final part. However it isn't and now I'm left with some very important but unanswered questions!

1.0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter as a ghost
Very simplistic story that seemed like Harry Potter in a school for ghosts with many similar plot elements, but worst was that nothing was really explained - things that ghost can/can't touch, eating, etc. - just lacked any real thought to me.

Definitely a young adult book, but much closer to the adult than the young. There were a few small parts I was uncomfortable reading, that I don't think a younger reader would really understand the implications of.
Aside from that they were a good read, a strong religious theme throughout obviously, but nothing preachy.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Afterlife, 24 Dec. 2012

I liked this book a lot. The Young Adult books coming out these days are a lot better than the books which came out whilst I was growing up. The only downside, the reason I did not give it full stars is because it reminds me of another book which has a boy called Harry in. It is good to think that this might actually happen, that the afterlife is another beginning for us.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor clone, 16 May 2013
This review is from: The Afterlife series Box Set (Books 1-3) (Kindle Edition)
As others have previously stated this is a Harry Potter clone. This in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but in this case it comes across as very simplistic and with cardboard cut-out characters.
With long series I sometimes take a break part way through but I can't remember the last time I stopped part way through a book with no intention of coming back to it.

If you have any views on Christianity other than blind faith then this book is probably not for you.
