Have now had a few of these cables and although contact with seller has been fine please note that cables without a chip in them (those authorised by apple) will no longer work in ANY device running iOS7. These cables do not have a chip and so will not work if using iOS7. Apple have now blocked any cables without this chip from working at all. Do a Google search to confirm this if required. There are other cables cheaper than apples own out there, but do check that they have this chip first! (I think the amazon basic ones do)

For those not using iOS7, cable should work fine and was decent looking quality.

The seller states in the title the reference of the ORIGINAL Apple USB to Lightning Cable.. This is not the case. The seller sells copies of the original cables and they do not work properly on the iPhone 5 running iOS 7. Also the cables are not the same as the ones in the pictures.

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY

I bought two of these items on different days from different suppliers: For the one I got from Terminal 1, whilst obviously I can't be completely sure, this does look, feel and work like a genuine Apple product to me. It looks and feels identical to the one that came with my iPhone 5. And it charges my devices as quickly as the one that came with my iPhone 5. So I guess it's genuine. A few weeks later I bought another one from The TechTree-UK, and I'm really not so sure that one is genuine. It has a different build quality and the cable feels different. However I does charge quickly, so I guess it's not all bad.

I purchased this at the end of September and now here we are at the end of October and I've had to buy a replacement as it's broken, delivery was quick when I purchased which I was please about but the quality somewhat lacking. would definitely invest a bit more in future to get the quality. A month!!

save your money and buy a proper charger cable.
this is terrible.
when you plug it in you get warnings on your screen. the lightning plug's sleeve has already come off.

don't do it, buy a genuine one from Apple or to to belkin for a cheaper but quality charger.

I ordered two of these. They're on about £5 on Amazon but £15 via the Apple Store. The deal was too good to be true. Neither are genuine cables. When plugged into an iPhone 5S there's an error message on the phone to say that this accessory is not compatible and may not work. The phone does charge but it's a very slow process compared to the genuine cable that came with the phone. Don't bother

I bought two because I have switched from an iPhone 4s to a 5s. I need a wire at work, and another one to carry with me because I have a portable phone charger. The original wire that came with the phone stayed at home and works perfectly fine.
Both of the wires worked fine for about a week (ignoring all the "this accessory may not be supported" warnings) until I went abroad for work. Wire 1, which I took with me worked for the first few days, then suddenly the "charged" battery doesn't show up on screen when I plugged it into the socket. It still charges, but very slowly (28% to 39% in the span for 3 hours).
Wire 2, which I keep at work buzz and say "charged" every time I move the phone around my desk, but charges okay.
All I all they are okay until the charge rate drop massively. I am not sure if it is because it was overused those few days because a) I use it with the portable charger, b) use it overnight as a normal charger and c) use it with my computer for charge, but it would have thought it'd work better than just a week.

Gives the impression this is a genuine product. It isn't. I bought 3. One stopped working and came apart in my hands.

The power adapter doesn't work with iOS 7 either for charging or syncing. Certainly not a genuine apple power cable.

I have bought two of these which, through no choice of mine, came from different sellers:

First item, supplied by Bell Corner. Looked genuine but didn't work to connect iphone 5S to PC but did work as a charger by inserting in USB plug, albeit with message telling me it wasn't genuine. So charges battery and I kept it as I can use the Apple supplied original to connect to PC.

Second item (ordered just to use as charger again) supplied by device click mart. I suspected what was coming - the colour was dirty white rather than the pure white you get from Apple. Sure enough, plugged it in, no charge to battery, not even a message from iphone to say it might not work. To give device click mart credit, when I complained, they promptly sent me a new one which came in Apple packaging and is genuine. Just a pity that wasn't the first experience.

Amazon really ought to get to grips with how sellers describe what's genuine and what's not!
