Due to the success of Santana, many Latin rockbands got the opportunity to make albums in the (early) seventies. Well-known bands are Malo and El Chicano.
Azteca made only two albums originally (there is also a recent live reunion album), this one being the second. Both albums are excellent, but I prefer this one.
Bandleader was Pete Escovedo, father of Sheila E, a very fine singer and percussionist. Also his brother "Coke" was in the band,
All songs on the album are good, but I have two favorites, namely "Find love today", beautifully sung by Wendy Haas and Errol Knowles, and "Whatcha gonna do", with a wonderful guitarsolo by Neal Schon, who also was a member of Santana, but of course is best known from Journey.
Well, I would say this is an album that should appeal to everybode who loves Latin (rock) music. But probably they already know.
