Light is fantastic, having returned a more exensive, less reliable product, I was sceptical about this light but took the plunge anyway. So far (its been up a week approx) its shining when I approach the house giving sufficient light to get into my house. Picks you up from a reasonable distance and stays on until you move away from the sensor. Its quite a small neat package but very effective.

This is a great little light. Fitting was very simple (2 screws on the back - although 1 is enough to securely mount it) and it is very bright. The PIR range is good enough to sense our back gate (10m away) so it does the job I bought it for well. I have taken 1 star away because, while the product description says it charges in the UK winter, I have found the amount of charge it builds up does not sustain the light for very long. However, to date it hasn't had the chance to fully charge in the sun. Once it has a full charge I'm sure that this will not be noticeable. I would recommend this product.

I have only had these lights for 1 day but couldn't wait to write this review. The lights are simply fantastic! Quite compact, as others have said but the output is quite amazing form such a small unit. It's compact size is also a great feature. They are easy to fit & are unobtrusive. the sensor works very well & the minimum duration of 35 seconds is ideal - not using too much power but giving sufficient light for the required duration. The lumens output seems to have increased. My leaflet says 112 lumens vs the advertised 96 lumens. That's almost a 15% gain! The battery supplied is Li-ion, which should provide good power retention. Delivery was amazing. I ordered these on a Thusday evening and received them by Saturday morning. This is my second order from Powerbee with my previous order still working well after 1 year. I highly recommend this product for anyone wishing to illuminate an area that cannot be lit economically by any other means. I hope it performs as well during the winter.

I recommend this solar light as an excellent buy. It works whatever the weather. Make sure you put it somewhere that gets a bit of sunlight during the day so that it charges up. I first had it situated on a north facing wall but it did not get enough light during the day and lasted for about two weeks, this was during the bad weather in January. I moved it to a position that gets the sun during the day now and have no complaint. Very good light from it just where I need it and it comes on as soon an approach is made. Best thing about it is, I now have a light where I need it without employing an electrician.

Product arrived promptly and well packaged . Whilst smaller than I expected , once mounted and charged , the Approach light gives off a surprising amount of light . Good job Powerbee . Would purchase again .

I have purchased 4 of these lights from PowerBee and have struggled to get the best from them. When I got the first light I thought that's amazing so bright. On this briliance I thought I will buy another 3 for other parts of my garden as it is very dark down by my shed and I wanted a further light for my front garden. The dissapointment came after 3 days when the first light started to fail. I then took delivery of the 3 further lights 2 of which I located in various parts of my garden making sure they all got as much light as possible and the other I gave to a friend who put his where it gets sun all day. I have now found all 4 lights fail when you get a couple of dull days and I have had to put clear silicone around the edge of the solar pannels and light face edge as the lights appeared to be suffering from water ingression, this has improved thier performance but not cured the dull day problem.

On the plus side of these lights it only takes short spells of sunshine or a semi bright day to get the lights fully functioning again so despite the faliures these lights are still worth the money. I will say that I purchased these lights mid October 2013 when the weather was constantly wet and dull and suspect the great reviews from people who purchased in the spring and summer would naturally be getting a great performance from these lights and they can achieve the charge time of 15 hours for a full charge. My lights have been good on bright days in November . I will write a further review when I have had these lights for 12 months.

I purchased one of these lights in November and was extremely impressed with how bright it was for a small unit so decided to buy another one. After the second one was delivered I noticed that the first light started to fail and would only light up for about 5 seconds instead of about 40. The second light soon started to suffer from the same problem. After contacting PowerBee it emerged that to get the best from the light you would be required to locate the lights in a south facing area to enable them to charge correctly. The alternative is to keep removing the lights from their location to place them in direct sunlight to fully charge. I purchased these lights during the winter months and could not get them to either fully charge or hold any charge. I suspected the lights were faulty so contacted Powerbee who were more than happy for me to return them for a refund. I can't comment on the lights performance in the summer months but I'm sure with constant sun light they would charge and do the job well.
