This review is from: Back from the Dead (MP3 Download)
After over 20 years crippling drug abuse, overdoses,Suicide attempts and court battles with former band mates. Ex-Guns N Roses drummer Steven Adler is back with a brand new album and band simply called Adler. The album kicks off with the title track and blows the doors off the place and puts the listener in a state of shock. Steven was a key part of the Guns N Roses sound and his groove and style was a main ingredient in the best record ever recorded Appetite For Destruction. It is refreshing to hear it again and with his new band mates Jacob Bunton on vocals, Guitarist Lonny Paul and Johnny Martin on bass who all put in a spectacular performance. Songs like Own Worst Enemy, Back From the Dead, Another Version of the Truth and Habit along with a few more screams the pain and struggles of Steven Adler and his life.

The vocals by Jacob are incredibly strong and grabs you by balls and leaves you there to hang he is without a doubt a underrated singer and performer. The crunch and power of Lonny's Guitar is truly fierce and when mixed with Johnny and Steven tight groove rhythm section leaves you with the song content which is 10/10 and is up there with any recent Slash release. The mix and producing of the record is top notch as well as the mastering with everything crystal clear and sounding perfect. I am genuinely excited for a follow up release and hopefully many more and plenty of years for the band and Steven to be established or re-established artists in the rock world. I could even conclude if this was released in the days on 80's MTV with acts like Guns N Roses,Motley Crue and many others on heavy rotation and airplay and shows like Headbangers Ball and even given the right exposure today and with the right backing could be huge. But it's the best kept secret and a must have album for any Guns N Roses or Rock N Roll fan.
