In 2012, F1 fans had to grapple with new technology called weird and wonderful names like "Double DRS" and "Blown Diffusers". It was complicated stuff and hard, if not impossible, to understand what on earth was going on. But the author of this book, Fraser Masefield, is clearly a man who does. Taking each race in turn, Fraser cuts through the gobbledygook and analyses the results and explains what impact the new technology had on that result. It's a novel approach and one that he pulls off with aplomb. All the facts are presented with precision and authority, but in an uncomplicated and entertaining way. If you like F1, you'll love this book.

Essentially a race by race review of the 2012 season, with some technical insight into how the race was won / lost. I didn't learn anything that I didn't already know from reading the F1 magazines and watching the TV coverage, so for me the book didn't live up to the expectations set by its title.

I guess for the low price I enjoyed reading it, but amazingly the book ended (in my copy at least) at race 18, before the season finale.... It was great season so it would be well worth the author finishing / updating the book...

Absolutely superb book. The author clearly explains all the tech tricks behind this seasons' amazing F1 season. A great stocking filler for new fans to F1 and die hard fans alike. There is something here for everyone.

Childlike oversimplfied descriptions of each grand prix during the year. I didn't pay much for the Kindle version but every penny was wasted

There was not any thing new in this book that could not be found by reading any daily news paper!
