This review is from: The Floacist Presents Floetry Re:Birth (MP3 Download)
I enjoy listening to this album. If I had to categorise it, I would say it is neo-soul. The music is mellow and beautiful and the words make me think. This is good music to chill to, alone or with friends.

I had heard of them before and love most of their work, but this new cd/download is a pleasure to listen to, it is so chilled and relaxing and the vocals are so good too.

Wonderful album and so said Floetry split up but you can enjoy the same standard of music as before but with the one singer.
Want to chill out in the summer sun once it finally arrives? Then go buy this album you'll be glad you did!

Where do I begin? Well lets start with saying that if you are a person who is into manufactured electronic mind controlled corparate algorhythmic driven Pop; R&B; AOR; Rock; Metal, techno euro pop; et al please avoid this album like the plague.

It will not be a good fit for Borg organic robotoid collective programming, best stick with GAGA et al.
For those who like their music to still possess that Human organic creative gnosis and its connection to source and being, this album is for you.

I can honestly say that outside of the creative source of albums such as Kind of Blue by Miles Davis or Whats Going On by Marvin Gay; Buenovista Social Club via Ry Cooder (check out Bop till you Drop); Al Jareau's This Time; Jeff Lorber Fusions Water Sign; Stevie Wonder; early Luther; early Beatles; Sinatra; Nat King Cole; Al Green; Bob Marley; Hendrix and Sam Cooke hey too many to mention, well you get the picture. In Floetry RE:Birth it is rare to find an Album where every track stands on its own.

Simply put, there is not one bad track on this album. On a Spiritual level this is good food for those who still possess source code to Soul from the Original Pre existant one. Too much music produced today is like take away food. Tastes good when you eat it but leaves you hungry and rotten inside, a poor "technological Mysteron copy" with a bad spiritual undercurrent and vibes.

This Album and its contents is organic and whole in inception and not infected by the corporate fingerprint of artificial music with no appreciable content. In Floatry RE:BIRTH Floacist has shown great resiliance to avoid the pitfalls of the Corparate Octopus thus far. Unlike ISIS she gave birth to this album via natural conception with her Consort Osiris: Nolan Weeks, and as such this is why this music feels whole and not at all, artificial or a symulcra of source code or full of SIN.

However, it remains to be seen if this will continue, for I fear that with this production by Nolan Weeks (and the Weeks collective of fine British talent at his disposal) , the Corporate Agent Smiths of the Matrix, will now come circling once again. This is a dangerous time in any artists journey and it will be a shame if we loose such a propitious talent and the track "SOUL" may be an omen in this respect. And for those who doubt the callous unfeeling nature of the music corporate industry check out "the Big Reunion" to see how music has really been produced packaged and sold to us.

Anyway enough philospohical babble, to the business at hand. I urge you to check out the YouTube video promo for the track "SAY YES" to give you a flavour of the narrative at play. The video underscores the core "essence" of the music and its colaboraters. I am tempted to give a synopsis of each track but want the reader to take time to research this album with their own sensibilities. If this is done correctly, one will recognise the rich tapestry of musical styles that mesh in synronicity with R&B; Soul;Lovers Rock; Reggae; Rap; African and Carribean UK based talent.

I have laboured to say, what this Album is not, to emphasise what it is, that being, the synthesis of what is all good, from what remains, close to source.

I can honestly say that this is music you can play with our children present without worrying about what negative underlay is being imprinted on their precious subconcious, check out the track "Speechless", and yes "children of the Sun".

In short, good music for the Soul from Source, to meditate, ruminate and appreciate in these uncertain and spiritually devoid times.

Take a punt it will be the best investment you will make for your ears and higher self and if you are happy with "how you feel" from what you hear, why not share and go viral.

In my experience once this level of natural light hits the ether the dim artificial light comes looking to corrupt so grab it if you feel the Real.

Happy meditation

Velon
