The Joy of Handweaving is a book written by an experienced weaver and teacher of weaving. This book is detailed in thoery and technique and would be a welcome addition to beginners and experienced weavers libraries.
There are instructions on building a 2 harness table loom, your own warping board.
Further on the book progress to instruction for various weaves on a four-harness loom. There are many books offering similar instructions, but the difference with this one for me is that I felt as though I was in the presence of a master weaver whilst reading it. The author takes the reader through a complete weaving course with all the detail of traditional cloths weaves. There are 'summer and winter weave, the Bronson weave, the M's, and O's weave, the crackleweave, the waffle weave, matta technique, syncopation, double weaving all on four harness loom'. There are detailed passages of every step with advice on how to achieve the best results. These tips come with years of experience and overcoming obstacles encountered by beginners and experienced weavers alike.

This book makes a good addition to anyone's weaving library. You can actually use this as a first book or extend your repertoire.

All the pictures, drafts, and diagrams are in black and white they still work but would have been better with the added dimension of color. 0.K. there is a small color section.)

Fort the brave there is a section on clothing. I however prefer flat square projects.
