a little disappointing; a rambling & repetitive monologue that goes nowhere. I had been eagerly awaiting this instalment & feel cheated, its like the author just needed to get another book out, so wrote it in one session without thinking about the structure. What does happen could probably have fit into the first two chapters of the next book.

Josiah and friends have won the war and have been living in peace, but the prophecy for his sons still weighs on him. He is now a father first and foremost and he will not allow one of his sons to die just because a prophesy says he must. The leader of the other island suffers a terrible loss and chooses someone else to take over so that he can disappear. The new person that took over, Brock, seems ok to Josiah but his son Jason does not like him. When Brocks son becomes really sick he wants Josiah or Jacob to heal him. When Jason refuses Brock will do everything in his power to try and force him to do it.

This book goes through the boys first 18 years of life. Josiah and his family once again have a lot to deal with. Josiah and Lena are having issues. They have the new unpredictable neighbor on the next island to deal with and then one of his sons ends up missing.

My Opinion: I loved it as I do with all of H.T.'s books. Josiah and Lena are the perfect little couple that it was actually nice seeing them have some marital problems just like everyone else. When it comes to the Deity I think that Josiah relies on her just a little too much. I love the boys. They are both very intuitive. I think that this book was one of the better ones in the series and I have high hopes that the next one will be just as good if not better. I highly suggest reading but you do have to read from book one to know what is going on.

I found this book rushed and repetitious, I'm enjoying the story and it leaves another cliff-hanger for us to ponder about until the next book is released, I'm pleased that the story seems to be developing well instead of turning stale, keeps me interested and find myself excitedly turning pages to see what is going to happen next! I'm hoping 'sons of josiah' will be better written so we can enjoy it more. See you after the next book ;) x

I was so looking forward to reading this book and I feel like I have been let down. It seemed like a lot of waffle. Trying to fill the page count. This would have worked better as a short novella. I will still read the next as I love this writer and this series. So I can only hope it gets back to usual standard which is no doubt 5 star plus

Having read H.T Night's the Vampire Love Story as a Kindle freebe I was really suprised how hooked I became with its story line. After that I pretty much ordered the next five books in succession which I read in no time at all and I'm now waiting in anticipation for Son of Josiah.

Having read all 6 books so far I can't wait for the next book to come out. Once started you can't put them down and feel so involved with the family and cause you need to see it to the end. Can't wait fir the next book

Expected more just another cliff hanger to buy the next one when you think how much you spend on all these mini novels really much more expensive than one good book.
