This is her best album yet I have liked her music from her first UK single from back in the day. So what I think is this is one to remember and totally worth the wait. A woman with a sublime voice, recognized by the most important people in music and not only is returning to express once more that she's beautiful no matter what we say. The album is all about standing on your two feet, punching hard your enemies and getting over your obstacles like a fighter. This album is probably her best. I don't understand why it was not a success, maybe wrong or little promotion? But one thing is certain: "Lotus" is way better than the rubbish that the pop world has been releasing every year. I think Lotus is a classic album in the making and will stand the test of time and a good album for generations.

Amazing album!! I don't understand why people are giving it negative reviews for being sent the wrong product by Amazon or it turning up with a cracked case? It's so you can review the artist u can't mark her talent down because royal mail are careless when delivering, also I notice some people are complaining they have to watch out for there children when playing the cd because of swear words?? It's hardley a nicki minaj album but perhaps if you do have young children about you shouldent listen to it when there about full stop.! It's a great album and it's such a shame it diddent do better sales wise!! Would recommend this to everybody

Not her best, but not her worst! A nice enough album from Ms. Aguilera! The lead single 'Your Body' is AMAZING though and one of the best pop tunes from 2012!

This album is brilliant if you are a Xtina fan - I'd like to think I am. The variety of styles represented in the tracks here are many and as always brilliantly done. A Couple of stand out songs are "Sing for Me" and "Just a Fool" - the latter being a brilliant foray into country with Blake Shelton - but the rest of the album is just as good, but maybe with 1 exception. The track "Circles" is likely to annoy at first, but give it a few listens and I'm sure you'll warm to it. ;)

Christina Aguilera has always been one of my favourite artists and so It came as no surprise to me that I loved this album. It didn't do as well as initially thought, but it certainly should have with many uptempo and powerful songs such as: make the world move; let there be love; blank page and best of me, being some of my personal favourites off the album.

I don't know what to say about this album that hasn't already been said but Lotus is deffo one of Christina's best albums. My highlights are Lotus Intro, All Around The World, Let There Be Love, Blank Page, Cease Fire and Sing For Me. Its a great record with some great anti bullying anthems too such as Circles, Shut Up and Best Of Me. Such a positive record.

That follows a natural progression. There is the birth (Lotus Intro), the natural confidence of a powerful person and journey to love (Army of Me to Let There Be Love), the tragedy and conflict - emotionally and within a relationship -that turned sour (Sing For Me and Blank Page), the desire to end the conflict (Cease Fire) which marks the departure from that journey. A new stage, the bitterness and anger begins, along with rebirth for the remainder of the songs.

The songs are generally very good. They are mid-tempo (besides the two ballads and two club songs). It is clear a lot of work went into these and Christina was utmost professional in her writing. But why just four stars?!

Here are the few drawbacks:
1) Some songs - not many - are repeated so much it hurts. I for one class the Lotus Intro and Cease Fire in this category.
2) The censorship of Shut Up ruins the song. I love the theme, beat and style, but the constant bleep hurts my ears.
3) The track ordering seems a little interesting. The choice of a timeline focus means that similar songs are bunched together. Therefore, the fast ones overshadow each other and, during the ballads, I feel very depressed. Others may disagree, but I think I will create a playlist changing the order. I don't want emotional progression, I want a variety!

The songs to look out for:
-Army of Me (Fighter, but with more focus on the voice)
-Let There Be Love (club anthem!)
-Make The World Move (so catchy, it is criminal. Very Latino...and pop)
-Best of Me (Christina's powerful version of Katy Perry's Part of Me)
-Just A Fool (Christina experiments with country and her voice is very well suited to this genre)
-Empty Words and Light Up The Sky (paired because they are big rebirth mid- tempo anthems)
-Shut Up and Circles (incredibly catchy 'stuff you!' songs. A little bitterness here, but it works)

I normally add only a few stand-out tracks when reviewing, but there are just so many with this. I am very pleased. The ballads aren't my thing, but they are great and there are other good songs.

Just avoid the head-banging Your Body Remix! It stings...

Lotus, another album showing Christina at her best! My fav album of all time is her Stripped and after reading reviews on other websites I agree to an extent this album is very similar. Christina takes us on another emotional journey of pain and partying.
After the Lotus intro you know you will be feeling uplifted and see Christina has once again been learning more of life's lessons. Freedom and growth are the main topics of the album.

The Ballads; Sing For Me, Blank Page, Cease Fire, Best Of Me, Light Up The Sky and Empty Words are incredible, showing us that Christina is still the Queen of ballads. The songs Blank Page and Sing For Me are really emotional and reminds me of Hurt.

The up-tempo: Army Of Me, Red Hot Kinda Love, Your Body, Let There Be Love, Around The World, Circles and Shut Up are a lot of fun. Your Body is a great dance track but Let There Be Love I think could be a number one club hit! Red Hot Kinda Love has a more RnB feel to it, Circles has a rock influence to it and is Christina at her cheeky best along with Shut Up. Army Of Me, AKA Fighter 2.0 has a real uplifting feel to it and is a song which everyone will be able to relate too.

The Duets: Make The World Move and Just A Fool. Make The World Move has a Back To Basics feel to it, it will have you dancing in no time! Just A Fool could be a massive hit.

Christina has the best vocal talent and if you are growing tired of these auto-tuned "singers" then Christina is the one you should be listening too.

One of the best albums I will ever have, it will not disappoint you! Good Job Christina! :)

I would defo recommend this cd.
I love Christina and didn't like it when she changed to the old fashioned stuff a while back.
This is like the stripped album but obviously newer,
A few great dance tracks too and a great one with an American guy.
Recommended... I love it!! Xx
