Read the first book, the twist made me read the second, and the rest, they say 'is history'. I loved this series

Brilliant. This is the fourth book in this series and they get better and better. Well written, the author gives nothing away until the very end of the book and draws you into the world of this French Town and the people there. A must read.

Danielle is most annoyed when a spa caretaker is found dead in mysterious circumstances in the spa pool in the lead-up to Christmas. She was wanting to enjoy a quiet time and happy holidays, and go out on a year-end high, but now the whole town is talking and everyone is looking at everyone else suspiciously.

During her investigations, Danielle comes across some very dodgy dealings by the spa owner, but, in her own inimitable style, turns them to her advantage. She's a lesson in small town politics, is Danielle, and her position as police chief enables her to be right in the thick of things.

When I started this book, I wondered if Danielle would ever meet a man likely to upset her cosy situation with Patricia, and funnily enough, in this book she does. They've both been leading celibate lives, but they are both young and presumably have needs...

As entertaining as ever, if you appreciate the other books, you'll be as happy with this one.
